Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is the newest addition to its expanding smartphone lineup, marking a decade of growth in India. The series initially targeted the sub-Rs. 10,000 categories between 2014 and 2017, but due to increasing component prices, the price has risen.

Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G series

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ offers a value-for-money package, with a vegan leather back design and a 3D curved display that makes it easier for one-handed tasks. The phone is available in Fusion White, Fusion Black, and Fusion Purple colors, with the latter being the recommended option.

The front of the phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, setting a benchmark for other manufacturers. The company claims that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is one of the strongest Redmi devices yet, with a thickened motherboard and reinforced aluminum corners.

The Leather Vegan variant weighs less than 200 grams, making it suitable for one-handed usage. The body-to-weight distribution is good, and the physical buttons are tactile and easily accessible.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G boasts a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1220×2712 pixels, a pixel density of 446 ppi, and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate.

It supports Dolby Vision and is perfect for various multimedia needs, such as streaming shows on Netflix, gaming, and browsing photo galleries. Texts are sharp, images are crisp, and sunlight legibility is excellent. The in-display fingerprint scanner works flawlessly and quickly.

In conclusion, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is a strong entry for the year, providing great value with a combination of design and a curved display.

Users have responded positively to the phone’s design and display, and the device boasts an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 93.35 percent. The in-display fingerprint scanner is also a standout feature, offering excellent sunlight legibility and a sharp display.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is a mid-range smartphone from Xiaomi. It features a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor clocked at 2.8 GHz. It comes with LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 storage and is available in multiple SKUs, including 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB.

The device is designed for gaming enthusiasts and offers smooth multitasking, app launches, and switching between apps. The multimedia experience is excellent due to its crisp display.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G performs decently in benchmark tests, scoring 1122 in single-core and 2598 in multi-core tests on GeekBench and 721512 on AnTuTu.

It also offers dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, a powerful haptics motor, and IR Blaster, a signature Redmi feature. The phone has been certified with IP68, the highest level of water and dust protection on new-age flagships.

The software experience is good, with a few pre-installed apps remaining. However, the Android version launched with Android 13 out of the box, which may be unfair given that some Poco devices are now getting Android 14 with HyperOS.

The company is working on an update for the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, but it may not be pushed to the top-of-the-line model.
